Steamboat brunch

Today...I was feeling "extremely lazy" and I can't figured out the reason..! Perhaps I was and am having a 10 days Raya break. Staying home doing nothing...wasting all my precious time. I should be making use of this 'time' to start searching for materials for my uni assignments. But I am simply feeling LAZY.

I woke up rather late this morn and was not up to cooking at all. Eating out...sick of 'take away" food. Too much msg...haha. No matter what, I still need something to eat, so is my boy. Brunch..a simple brunch...what ya ?

Wanting something special and and yet easy to prepare...no mess in the kitchen. I checked the contains in my fridge...what do I have in there ? Mmm...balls..fish, sotong,prawns..a half a container, fish @ bawal putih, medium sized prawns, minced meat, chicken breast, a piece of taukua, inoki mushrooms. Some baby corns and leafy vege @ lettuce...All these were purchased from the wet market last Saturday...and some of it were left overs from previous weeks.

All these ingredients in small quantity...not enough to cook any special dishes....but just nice for Yes...yes....STEAMBOAT.

Easy...just boil a pot of water, add in a piece of Maggi chicken cube and when the water comes to a boil...dump everything into it. No need much preparation. Just cut the raw materials into bite size....easy...!

Noticed the finely chopped garlic and red chilly with some added lime juice soaked in soya sauce...that created a kicked to the seafood. Dipped the food into the sauce and place in your mouth..it create a sensation onto your tongue.

Not bad after all, Ann's steamboat taste better than the 'cut throat' one in Cameron Highlands. All in, the ingredients cost not more than RM30. But enough for 3 big eaters. Simple but delicious. At the end of the meal, can even have free flow of Cintan noodle. Break an egg into the soup and soak the noodle into the soup....sweet soup minus the msg. Original sweetness from the seafood.

We enjoyed the meal tremendously....! Later this evening, I could add in some tom yam paste and have a Thai style steamboat. I still have some left overs .....
It's my refrigerator stock clearance day....

Only took a few snapshots coz my hands were dirty and as I said..I was lazy and have no intention to blog about it anyway. It's just a simple meal.
