Ann's Maggi Noodle

Aunt Im Ee has gone home early this morning.....after 'babysitting' us for 4 days. Ya..she drowned us with exotic nyonya dishes which I never grew tired off. Stuffing my stomach with great food and now I've gained some extra kilos. Daren't step onto my weighing scale.....worry to see the needle pointing to.......

High time to do some jogging during the holidays.

For brunch today, I prepared something nice for both of us. Obviously not a healthy meal but something instant and easy. For convenient sake....Guess what...it's Ann's special menu..."The 2 minutes noodle". Maggi cepat dimasak sedap dimakan. This is ain't the normal mee that one cooks everytime.

I added lots of ingredients in it......ya whatever leftovers I could salvage from my fridge.

My boy is sure a picky eater so he had chicken soupy with an egg.

Meanwhile mine with extra ingredients of egg, sausages and cucumbers.

People normally cook instant noodles by putting them into a pot of boiling water, throwing in the seasonings and letting it cook for around 3 minutes. Thats when it’s ready to eat.

Note...That's the wrong way.

The noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.

Therefore, the correct Method to prepare Maggi mee is as the following.

1. Boil the noodles in a pot with water.
2. Once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles. Discard the water which contains wax.
3. Boil another pot of water till boiling. Throw in all the vegetables (add on). Then put the noodles and then turn off the fire.
4. Only at this stage when the fire is off and while the water is still hot, put the ingredient of powder seasonings into the water to make noodle soup.
5. However, if you prefer dry noodles, drain dry the noodles and add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles.

Delicious maggi... feeling contented now! ahhhhhhhhhhhh
