Pinkeye Ann

My Pinkeye Conjunctivitis infection remains a mystery...How, where and why I contacted it seemed ....question unanswered ????

In the wee hours of the morning, I was rudely awaken by a terrible sharp pain on both eyes. The burning sensation was agonising.

My eyelids were swollen and the entire eyes were covered with yellowish discharge. These sticky substance made my eyes stuck together and I had a hard time opening my eyes. It was like experiencing a sudden blindness...and that was scary.

Looking at bright lights seems painful.

Checking on the net, saying that this eye infection is contagious and I'm extremely worried that I would transmit this viral to my boy. I made a trip to the government clinic for treatment as early as 8am. The crowd wasn't bad and managed to see the doc at waiting for an hour (not bad already...as I'm talking ab government hospital).

I was prescribed a course of antibiotics, eye drops, paracetamols and anti inflammation to ease the swelling. Two days MC.....

Right up till this moment, I'm still experiencing watery eyes although the pain had diminished a lil. Slept for a couple of hours after lunch. My Godma would stay a couple of days with us till I'm fully recovered. Thanks to her or I'll be living hell. Driving seems a problem to me as my vision are blurry.

The healing process would take a longer period due to my advanced age. And I've just recalled...perhaps my eye problem was due to the spring cleaning activity in my library a day earlier. Dust, pollen could played a role in causing distress to the cornea and conjunctiva areas. Excessive rubbing due to itchiness may be another culprit.

Meanwhile..I'll just stay home and have a well deserved rest for two days....
Looked at the infected eyes...the uncontrollable tears and sticky mucus emitted from the eye duct.... painful experience.
