Yes..I'll be sitting for the PTK later. PTK stands for Penilaian Tahap Kecekapan. My exams will starts at 9 am later. ...and here I am blogging away at this wee hours of the morning. Can't sleep.. Worry..no la. Tension..no la. Feeling blues...no la.

i) Kompetensi Umum -9am
ii) Kompetensi Khusus (Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran) 11 am
What will I be tested..? Good question. Many topics...pertaining to General Orders (Perintah Am), Teaching Proffesion, School Managements, Teaching & Learning Strategies, Various Government Policies.......etc. Mana boleh ingat semua..!
Both papers are MCQ @Multiple Choice Questions. Therefore, I'll be performing the usual skill of mine...."Ting Tong Tiang".....!
And to those of you who're not teachers, let me brief you a little about this exams.
It's compulsary for all government staff to take this exam in order to naik pangkat or salary increment. This exams first started in 2003 (if my memory capacity is still powerful). Previously it was held once a year. But this year (2008), we are allow to take the same exam twice (March & August). Which means we have two chances to score a distinction for both the papers. BTW, there's a quota system...and only the lucky ones can pull through both papers with perfect score (4 , 4). If you managed to get a 4 for both papers, then you're entitled for a salary increment but provided your boss gives his/her reccomendations. The conditions are
- You have to get a 3 years annual appraisal points above 90 %.
- You don't have any disciplinary record.
- You declare your property every 3 years. (Pengisytiharan Harta)
Lastly, you and your boss must always be in excellent talking terms. hahaha .....if both of you are always at loggerheads then...how do you aspect her to give you good grades ? Therefore, make sure you "buttered" her properly !

I did a bit of reading yesterday and today. Honestly speaking, I just could not possibly cover all the topics so I have to study 'smart'. Attempt to understand what they are all about and hope and pray for the best ! Hmmmm... Whatever it is, I will do my very, very best (and of course, pray...)...Ada soalan bocor ah...anyone ?
