New Penang

Mr. Lim G.E sworn-in as the new CM. And something which is worth "hooray~ing" ..."his agenda for the Pg State". Looks like it's gonna be positive changes. From now on...everything is going to be TRANSPARENT especially in the Municipal Council !



The best part..."Summonses issued by MPPPP and MPSP before March 11 ~ WAIVED !

No words could describe the happiness in every Penangites' heart. We could only utter "WOW".



CM announced on Tuesday that the Penang Municipal Council and Seberang Perai Municipal Council will waive all summonses involving hawker licences and parking offences issued before March 11.


I have seen overzealous Municipal Council officers issuing summonses for vehicles on the many narrow busy roads in Penang. This is especially rampant during the rush hours of the day when everyone is running errands like paying bills, banking, marketing...etc. You know lah...the parking space on the streets are pretty limited.





So kesian lah. I hope they do away with the coin meter type of parking. The other day, I put in 60 sen for an hour parking. I went to the bank knowing that everything would be settled within that time limit. Unfortunately, it dragged to almost one and half hours.

Aiyah..I know I should have make use of the Online Banking where everything 'bingo' within mouse-click. But as you know lah, I'm scared of those online scam-simply don't trust this technology although modern. 'You simply can't teach an old dog new tricks' ....haha



When I returned, the red light was flashing. Lucky tak kena saman. (usually it is RM30 I think)
But I suppose when the new law comes in, we cannot pray-pray with the new MPPPP.

Though, I'm a law abiding citizen (hahaha) but I can't avoid but own two unpaid summonses (for illegal parking la). And today, I'm glad that I need not have to dig a big hole in my purse to pay those samans...HOORAY. Thanks to our new CM. ....."Kam Siah...Kam Siah...."
