Went to the pasar malam last night. Bought a bunch of Taiwan sweet corns @ 11 for RM8. Reasonable price as they were quite huge and best of all..they're fresh, I mean they looked fresh. My boy loved sweet corns. Steamed it, make soup, roasted....anything suits his royal tongue. YA..he really loved jagung.
I placed two into the crockpot with some chicken ribs and red dates before I leave for school. It would be great for our lunch and dinner later. The sweetness emit by the jagung into the water....makes the soup ummph !
Put another two in the oven. Spread butter sparingly onto the kernel. Bake for 15 mins in high temperature. Turn the corn occasionally. When it's done, spread some honey. Eat while still hot but beware of your lips. These jagung bakar would make a great tea time meal. I'll have both for myself as my boy will be in school. I'll keep the remainder for him. Thought of making some pop corns for snack. And keep the stems for soup. Nothing goes to waste in Ann's household.
