Ann's version cheese cake.
Hmmm....my first attempt in making cheese cake ala Secret Recipe. Can't figure out what went wrong. The cheese filling seems too soggy and the crust base a bit too hard. Alamak.... Though a lil out of shape and some minor errors somewhere, but the taste...yummy.
The ingredients are as below.
Biscuit Base
100 g Marie Biscuit (choc flavor)
75 g butter (melted)
Cheesy Filling
4 yolks & 45 g castor sugar (mixed)
250 g cream cheese
12.5 g gelatine double boiled with 50 ml water
150 whipping cream
1 pck Oreo Biscuit (large)
Method
For the crust
1. Crumbled Marie biscuit, mixed evenly with butter.
2. Press biscuit onto plate.
3. Chill in the fridge until firm.
For the filling
1. Whisk yolks and sugar till pale and creamy.
2. In another bowl, beat cream cheese till smooth. Add in yolk mixture, mix well. Pour in gelatine, whipping cream. Mix well.
3. Pour in half portion of cream cheese onto crust.
4. Place oreo biscuit on top. Cover with remaining cream cheese mixture.
5. Chill in the freezer for at least 4 hours till firm.
