I wasn't in total darkness during 'Earth Hour' last night...I left the lamp in the living on...as my boy was afraid of dark. So no choice lo. He was indulging in his PS meanwhile I was sipping oolong tea and chit chatting with a friend.
See, how we became so dependent on electricity..can't even bear one hour without it. Just wonder how our great-great grandparents could survive those days b4 Thomas Edison !
Felt bad for not being able to join in the campaign to save energy and protecting the ozone. Nevertheless...am actually doing my bits in my daily life..for instance using lesser plastic bags during shopping as I do carry my own shopping tote bag. I also recycle my waste products as I make my own enzyme cleaner in my lil balcony.
Many a times, I avoid driving but opted to cycle instead..hoping to lessen pollution. Killing two birds with a stone la..I could safe some petrol..esp during such period of recession.
Therefore..I can say that I'm contributing some effort in helping to nurture mother earth. Right ?
