Special people

Well, for the past days, I had been seeing a number of blind people. They're all special teachers whom are well versed in their respective fields and areas. These teacher have to sit for PTK exams just like the other normal abled teachers.
A handful of them weren't completed blind as bats....only their sight were limited.

I've got the privilege to invigilate such teachers...and it's indeed a great experience and opportunity for me to mingle with such people. I doubt I would have the chance to mix with them as these people live within their own community. An eye opener for me..

The way they read the Brailled question sheets...by moving their fingertips from left to right across the lines of dots.

The teachers meticulously typed their answers by physically pressing the dots onto the paper so that they show up on the other side. They're all fast as they typed their answers using the braille machine. Their fingers moved swiftly across the dotted questions as they read...

I learnt that the machine has six special keys, one for each dot in the Braille cell. pretty interesting.

Frankly, they're the nicest souls on earth..so polite and thoughtful. They're such a gentlemen.... Even though they're blind (partially), and yet they still offer to help me carry my boxes of papers/writing materials. And one teacher even opens the door for me...Oh gosh...truly gentlemen. I don't think any abled bodied teacher would offer a helping hand if they see an invigilator like me....
