Yours truly wasn't really good at Sports..definitly not an active person, to begin with. Had neven been active since school days.
This year, I was put charge of the Red house. Was involved in the data collection and programme book team. Was also "KeiPoh Chi" helping out in the trophy and prizes committee.
The opening ceremony.....a gymnastic show.
March-Past by pupils representing the four teams, uniforms units ~Scouts Movements, Kadet Remaja, Red Crescents Society, Puteri Islam and Girls Guides. The marched past the grand-stand paying honour to the guest of honour (an officer from District Education Department of Seberang Perai Tengah). He took the salute. Our Headmistress, the VIPs, teachers, parents and pupils stood to attention while the National Anthem was played.
There were 4 booths ~ one each for the Red, Blue, Yellow and Green houses.
Beautifully decorated in spectacular manner by their respective teams. Red won the best decor...consolation out of sympathy for getting 2nd last).
The day started with track events. There were 50 and 100 meters races. There was tremendous applause from the teachers and parents. Then the field events – tug of war and telematches were held. Every event drew cheers and applause from the spectators.
Didn't snap much coz I was busy with the data.
To mark the end of the sports meet, there was another march past. The national anthem was played to close the sports day. I went home feeling tired and exhausted. The sports day turned out to be the grandest day of the year for the children reflected through their smiles and painted on their faces. The winners and the losers went home feeling contented....
