Time flies....it's already the 3rd day of CNY. After months of hustle bustle with the preparations...spring cleaning, shopping, making cookies, reunion dinners, filial duties @praying...etc...
It's finally here for us to enjoy. Ushering the golden ox, God of Prosperity whom we hope to give us abundance of luck, wealth and health.
Had completed most of the visitings trips. Gained a few kilos due to the endless makan-ing sessions. You see....at every households that I went, ....platter of oranges and tangerines and endless candy trays filled with cookies....and how could I not resist to lay my hands on them...!
Glorious food at the dining table sinced the eve of CNY.....by the way, the main agenda of CNY is 'eating' right? Like in the Hokkien saying, "Chiak Si Hock" which means "The activity of Eating Brings in Prosperity"
Today..I just wanna rest at home.....and indulged in plain porridge with salted egg, fermented tofu......after days of heavy stuff..it's time for my tummy to take a break.
My boy had accumulated a great amount of 'Hong Bao' money, lucky guy....! Hopefully he developed a sense of "saving for the rainy days". I would take him to the bank to keep a portion of it for his future.

New School Term
Time flies...it's already the 4th day of the new scH term. A brand new year...many news faces of the innocence 1st graders looking smart in the crispy new navy blue uniforms. And welcome back to my old pupils whom had successfully completed their previous standards and now progressing to a higher level.
I had a a few new colleagues replacing those transferred. I was assigned to take English Year 4 and Year 2 Science and minor subjects of Music, Art, Health. What a relieved....no more Year 1 this time around. For the 1st time after almost a decade...I won't be entering a year 1 class. Wow...The administration under the leadership of my new headmistress.....looks like there's a change !
However...felt a bit awkward to be with older ones. many a times, I forgot and still treat them like the year Ones....till they remind me.."Aiyo teacher...no need to repeat so many times, we understand already !".
2009...well..it kicked off quite nicely for me. The past 8 days had been smooth sailing and hope the remaining 357 days would be similar. Hope for a promotion..no not to a headmistress but moved into a higher scale as deserved...coz I passed the prerequisite exams @ PTK last year. All I need is just a nod and recommendation from my boss. With this slight monetary increase in my paycheck..would helps alot in the current economic scenario....

New Year's Resolution
According to Wikipedia......A New Year's Resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year's Day and remain until fulfilled or abandoned.
Usually the brand new year is a perfect time to make resolutions. The New Year is a time to reflect on the changes one wants or needs to make....Do you make and keep your new year's resolution?
I don't fancy making resolutions because I can never stick to them......I doubt I ever have the strength to adhere to those vows that I made. Therefore, I don't believe in them.
However for this year....I hope that I'm able to draw a better time chart so that I'm able to balance up my teaching hours, tuitions, studies and household chores. Most importantly, am able to spend quality time with my boy. Time management...ya..am still lacking of it.
I hope that I'm able to juggle well all my duties and responsibilities both at work and at home.
Hope to be able to cruise thru my studies and exams in between the above duties.
Farewell 2008...and welcome 2009.
