When I was lil

I faithfully stood by the table
watching PoPo rolling coloured balls

with her skillful wrinkled hands
At this time of the year.

When I became a mum

I took the initiative

to create my own coloured balls

with some innovative ingredients
Under watchful eyes of my boy.

Past and present

The colourful balls
Identical shape and size
Emerged in syrupy gravy
That melts in the mouth.

Yummy yummy
Let’s celebrate a bountiful harvest.
