What a relieve...

I had finally summited all my assignments (for this semester) to my lecturers today. After more than a month of hard work, sweat and lots of stress.....phew.........what-a-relieved..!

As for now..I should be preparing for my exams which is due in no-time...17th and 27th. What a day...have to sit for exams on the 17th July....(a very special day for yours truly~la..)

*********
BTW...I went for a Facial Treatment at my regular Spa centre this afternoon. I drove straight to the centre after my lectures. Wanna give myself a treat after all the hard days work. Some sort as a reward "dari pocket sendiri"...!

Now I felt so nice and relax. Looked pretty too after exfoliating all the unwanted skin/dark surface skin cells or whatever......
In fact, I looked years younger with a fairer complexion. hahahaha.....

The 2 hours customized treatment consisted of the following. it's called "Deep Cleansing Facial treatment with double masks"

  1. Cleansing the skin with soft cleanser
  2. Scrubbing
  3. Exfoliating the skin surface of any inpurities
  4. Steaming (to open up the pores)
  5. Extracting black/white heads using special techniques
  6. Toning with Vit. C (improve the tone of the skin & elasticity, reduce fine lines)
  7. Essential oil massage (stimulate blood circulations)
  8. Double mask treatment
  9. Body massage with soothing essential oil

When I woke up...I felt very much lighter and so refreshed. My entire skin look good which made me looked 100% attractive. After all the procedures my skin look really renewed.

I'm 55 today.

Today is your 55th birthday. The entire school from your boss (head), fellow colleagues (teacher) to your students gathered to celebrate your retirement day.
Your final working day at school.
Are you feeling happy or sad ?

I'm particularly struck by this....when a fellow buddy splashed this question to me...!

When I am fifty-five.....let's see.

At this stage of life, I SHOULD some what...

1.achieved the equilibrium of my prime.

2.experienced various kinds of typhoon, tornado that occurs.

3.enjoyed many happy occasions with loved ones...

After a thorough serious...thought......

I had worked like hell for 30 over years and done everything I was told to do and rather more....uncountable...! I spent my entire adult life in pursuit of $$$$$....and forgo my other dreams.

In quick succession, I began to make two noises...Ahhh ! .........followed by Arrgghhhh!

I don't want to be 55 so soon.

I realise something here.
Life is pretty short...I must learn to enjoy every minute of it. No doubt, $$ does offer a warranty to a decent life but not bring happiness if one doesn't appreciate life.

Later....I'm going to talk a stroll along my Taman...and smell the 'lallang' and admire that nuisance trees which had been contributing dried leaves to my porch. Every now and then, I am going to enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding me....b4 it gotten too late.

Everyone including yours truly deserve HAPPINESS.

Retirement Age

The government has made the official announcement to extend the mandatory retirement age for civil servants from 56 years to 58 years............

Yesterday, my headmistress called for a meeting. She briefed us on the various conditions of the respective retirement age........55, 56 or 58.

At the end, each of us were given a form....choose our choice and sign the document.

After much consideration....yours truly picked 55. Guess...it's going to be hard to drag on till 58. By then..I'll be too old to stand in front of the classroom.....or even to hold a chalk !

Perhaps..I will be having my own golden age activities with my fellow senior citizens buddies....rather than facing the bunch of monsters in school. I probably won't be able to have the energy to raise my voice or to discipline the notorios ones....

Many of my colleagues had chosen 58 as they thought that the extended 3 years would bring in extra monetary funds to their bank accounts. One friend told be that it's better to work than to stay idle at home (and later lead to macam-macam sakit tua..when brain gets inactive).

Well...she has a point there. However...after retirement, one can still maintain an active lifestyle. There're many activities or past time that one can indulge in. One can even sign up for a short course...or further studies...! Since now, one has the time to fully commit to it.

Vacation...

Take up a hobby
Or start a small scale business venture...

What do you think on this issue ?

Work Loads...

Hi...having enough of toads and princesses...ya !

Let's forget about the "happily ever after" tales....which doesn't exist in real life.

I had been pretty busy the past few days to finish off my assignments. Now everything completed @ printed & binded...and waiting to be summited to my lecturers this Sunday.

My exams will be on the 17th and 27th. This sem..I am taking only two papers.

However for next Sem, I'll be taking four papers. Oh....it's gonna be tough but no choice la. I hope I'm able to cope....both my studies as well as my other commitments. In addition, my school work...I'll be anticipating lots of workloads from school...with UPSR in Sep...gotta coach my students @extra class...etc.

Oh gosh...it's going to be a mad mad rush. Hopefully..I don't go crazy.. !

Am practicing meditation ....to decrease my stress level.

Age of Glory

Kissing the wrong toad may cause misery to a princess's life. There's no turning back.

Well..that's the life story of the protagonist in the very much highlighted home made Chinese drama ~ Age of Glory.

I'm sure many of you would have religiously 'glued' to your TV screen every night catching this sobbing serial.

Kissed a lousy frog...and it spells a life full of sorrow.

The actress...Mei Kui had kissed a toad and soon gotten head over heels with him. However, this guy did not appreaciate her love. She is originally a kampung gal...so straight and naive. This guy brought much changes in her....

He introduces her into the underworld. Under circumstances....she was forced to become a 'girl' in the 'club' and gradually rose to stardom. Although, she's a star...but she faces a lot of obstacles, hardship and....emptiness.

She came acrossed a few toads along her path.....all the wrong toads. Her life was never happy.

What makes me mad was that scene in the final episode....

Rose visited Ah Sheng (the toad that she had fallen for).....and he simply utters the word.."SORRY".

How irresponsible...huh?

*******************

You probably can't understand what I'm writing about until you watch this soap. I'm unable to describe the entire story here due to it's complexity. It's a long winded drama.

Okay...I suggest you log into NTV7 website (hey..I'm not promoting NTV7)
Watch this drama yourself. It's a good recommendation...trust me.

Beware of frogs

Remember the "Princess Tales" in my earlier post..!

A princess kisses the toad...and it transformed into a handsome gentleman. They fell in love...and happily walked down the aisle....THE END.

**********
Are you sure that's the end of the story ?

Soon...the princess and the toad realised that they're not compatible. Thier union was based on a whirlwind romance...after a simple kiss.

The entire household became a war zone. Often at logger heads with each other.
The prince yearns to turned back into a toad...so that he could receive another kiss.
And the princess regretted for sacrificng herself for the selfish irresponsible toad.

At last, the prince got his wish granted. The toad hops from one pond to another searching for kisses.

He ended up miserable toad.

Meanwhile, the princess vows never to kiss a toad ever again. And she lives happily ever after her little tadpole.

**********

Frogs only turn into princes in Disney tales. In real life, they simply remain as frogs. And there're many species of it.

Am definitely not the "Katak di bawah tempurung" kind.

I know what I am looking for and what I should avoid, therefore...I believe I'm able to find my froggy even without having to go near the lake.

It's pointless to plant kisses on ungrateful toads.
"Happily ever after" becomes ....a myth.

Cost of Living

Star June 2
Raining Cash causes a stir. People scrambles for banknotes scattered on a football field. An Indonesian tycoon drops money from an aircraft costing almost RM34,000. He must has been too ‘rich’ till he does not know how to deal with his wealth.

Hey Mister, why don’t you channel the money to the needy like the Sichuan and Nargis victims….rather than ‘throwing money’ in a such a way.

What say you..?

Back in our home ground, every walk of life; old and young : chinese, malay or Indian...the talks of town is none other than “Price increase”.

Malaysian especially the lower middle income groups are struggling to make ends meet. With the rising cost of living following the hike of fuel prices, each and every Malaysians are fighting to earn a lil extra just to survive.

We are currently re-adjusting our lifestyles to match the situation. The price increase is a bitter pill to swallow. Simply too sudden and severe. Everyone was caught off guard including yours truly.

I’m now attempting to reduce my expenditure in many aspects like reducing electricity consumption, entertainments, clothes.

Except for food ….which I consider a necessity of life. I find it hard to resort to cheaper food …guess I am unable to compromise on this aspect.

I could only cut down on eating at posh restaurants. I still continue to eat out, as I don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen. In addition, cooking at home doesn’t help me to save much. On the other hand, my other household expenditures are being sized down.

Part time job….ya…am thinking of finding one. Hello Anyone out there interested to hire me..?

What a coincidence…

My recent uni assignment requires me to write an application letter & resume @ seeking for a job. I’ve completed the cover letter for a Finance Manager post….! Hahahaha - fictitious one la.

Am now trying to ‘compose’ my resume. I don’t have the qualifications to take up that position…. Saja…picked one job from the recruitment column. Finance Manager caught my fancy although I know nuts about accountancy.

As my lecturer gave us the licence to ‘bluff’ (create the letter for assignment sake)….I pun pandai-pandai la…produce one.

I’ll post my so called “application letter” in my blog later. I’m sure you’ll have a good laugh over it. Look at how impressive I am…hahaha

Intelligent Eye

This picture shows the father, the mother and the daughter.

They all share the same hat.

The father is looking to the front right, he has a big nose and a moustache.

The mother is looking to the front left and is wearing the moustache as a scarf.

Her left eye is the fathers right eye.

The daughter is looking to the back left. The eye of the father is her ear.

Father's Day

Ah Pa passes on three years ago, therefore Father's day is bittersweet for me. Yet it's also an occasion to remember all the good times we both had. The inspirations and memories remains.

Ah Pa, wherever you are.... Happy Father's Day.

Blurr Vision

My eyes are getting blurry due to hours staring at the PC.

-

Being a perfectionist, I tend to over cautious whenever I'm at work.
Guess....I made life difficult for myself.

But it's worthwhile. I've gained ample experience and knowledge from it.

Needless to say, "Persistence and Hard Work pay off...just not immediately".

Back To School

It's been a week since school resumed on the 9th...
Now the word.."WORK, WORK & WORK" ....seems to be inprinted on every corner of my head.

The two weeks break was awesome as I got to sleep and laze around...doing practically NOTHING.
My blood pressure was back to normal.. 120/80 mmHg.

Ha....am wondering if I could be a princess now, sitting upon my throne, keeping an obeisance of servants, ....rule the country.

Aiyo...Mimpi..lagi

-------------------
Monday morning...

Walked into the classroom feeling great although my mind was in dazed !

Unfortunately, my crystal clear mind was disrupted.

My students had gotten on my nerves again... !

Arggh...baru first day..dah naik angin.

They did not complete their homework....which I knew
perfectly well..it's done on purpose. ..!
Giving all sort of excuses as I was about to give them their "rewards".

So...was it a teacher's mistake or the students' problems...?

A teacher tries her level best to help her students but they couldn't be bothered.
They are unappreciative ..!

Tell me....what shall I do ?

Anyway...let's enjoy.. TGIF

I want to be a Princess

....and they lived happily ever after..

This is where most fairy tales end. The prince and princess marry and ride off into the sunset to begin their new life together, a life full of promise, romance, and above all, love.

However,
It's never mentioned.....
how this is supposed to happen, or why it succeeds .

The after effect of this "happily ever after"....ya...it's never being told.

These fairy tales truly leave us dangling, so to speak. By ending abruptly after the union of the hero & heroine .....and saying nothing further.....!

Is the prince and princess going to have blissful marriage ?
Or going through a divorce later..?

Ya....question marks ??????????????

A~ha..!

Does this "happily ever after" concept really exist ?

It only exist in fictions. Hero and heroine typically settle into matrimonial bliss with the implication that their lives will be harmonious and happy forever more.

Primarily, life isn't such. It's bound to be like a roller coaster....ups and downs.
No way...it would be a smooth journey.

Life is full of laughters and tears.
.......................

The Princess-Syndrome

If "happily ever after" is fictitious.......how come...every woman still dream of becoming a princess?

Just like Fairy tale princess...
Real life princess also faces obstacles in life.
The late Princess D....her life was not good either.
So is the Chrysanthemum Crowned Princess.... pressured to produce an heir.
And many more princesses around the world.

And yet...every woman still harbour to be one...!

The feelings is great when she wears the tiara.

Guess..it's ain't easy wearing the crown on your head..after all.
Pretty but heavy.

Thinking back...it still better to be just myself.
The bubbly Ann instead of a Princess.

Princess

Do you know that it’s not easy being a princess?
She would experienced all sorts of happenings,
faced all kinds of obstacles….
and her life is often in danger.

As you can see…

Evil witches try to steal her true love by taking away her voice,

Out of jealousy, her step-mum poisoned her with enchanted apples,

When the clock struck 12, she looses her glass slippers,

She slept a hundred years dying for a passionate kiss,

She was imprisoned in tall tower by her wicked mum,

She works like a slave and banned from attending the grand ball.

Her life..is so susah and kesian.

Nevertheless....

A Princess still has fun in many different ways.

She explored shipwrecks in the ocean depth,

She got the chance to dance with the prince all night long, while the others stood watching with envy,

She sees the world on a carpet,

She danced through the forest surrounded with singing birds and animals

And befriended the seven dwarfs,

And best of all…..
A Princess always find her true love
And lived happily……

So…isn’t it nice to be a princess ?
Every girl wishes and dreams of becoming one…

Donning shimmering gowns….with glittery tiara on the head.
Enjoying romantic moments with handsome prince as they lived happily ever after.

No worries..no tension...no pressure....how nice huh..?

Wake up…..Ann.
It’s time to get back to work.
Opps……Mimpi siang hari....

KungFu Panda

My boy and me went for a movie last evening.

If you had read my earlier post, I pledged and made a promise that I would spend some "quality time" with my boy....! Therefore, as a compensation, I took him for a movie treat.

We watched the latest box office @ KungFu Panda.

This is a DreamWorks production.

It features the voices of famous stars like Mrs. Brad Pitt (haha), Dustin Hoffman, Jacky Chan. Lucy Liu....many others.

This animated film focused on a big fatty panda who aspires to be a kung fu warrior. Initially, the plot was rather slow where it shows Po the panda at his dad's noodles' shop.

But then...it moves to it peak..with lots of kungfu kicks. The hightech sound systems at the cineplex added more 'ummph" to the show.

I caught hold of an interesting dialogue between Master Oogway (tortoise) with Po.

Always believe in yourself. You can do it.

This had given Po the strength and power to defeat his opponent (Tai Lung).

Po was a clumsy fat Panda whom often dream of becoming a kungfu master.

Po has this fighting spirit and never give up attitute.

Under the leadership of Master Shifu, Po emerged from a know nothing to an ultimate hero in martial arts.

Po puts his heart and his girth into the realising his dream.

His greatest weaknesses actually turn out to be his greatest strengths.

Therefore...I think all of us should emulate Po.

Believe in ourselves.

What say you ?

Hey....another issue about this movie...! There were lots of "piggy" in it. In fact, the entire community were made up of pigs. And this story is about China. Does it means..the people of this country are all ....ahem ahem..!

This is gonna be sensitive to the people of China.

DreamWork Producers....hope you do take into consideration other peoples' feelings first b4 you start work.

Dumpling Day

Chinese Dragon Boat or Duanwu Festival

Today is the celebration of the so called "Dumpling day".

The significant of today...well..I'm also not too sure about it except that I got to enjoy the dumplings @ "Bak Chang".

How does this "Dumplings" came about ?

Zongzi is a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival on the fifth day of the fifth lunar calendar.

According to folklore, today commemorates the death anniversary of poet Qu Yuan. Out of despair, he committed suicide by drowning himself. People were so grieved that they threw wrapped rice balls into the river to feed the fish so that his body would not be eaten by them.

Boats were also paddled out to scare the fish away so that Qu's body could be retrieved.

Perhaps....this is the origin of dragon boat racing !

Have a Merry Dumpling day !

Chit Chat

Episode 1

My boy is away for his "Smart Reader" class.
It applies the phonetic approach which is a systematic programme with the aim of guiding children to read well from a young age.

I find it quite effective as my boy had shown sign of improvement in his reading ability. He's able to read a simple story book at age 3. It actually helps in his pronunciation too.

Parents can enrol their young toddlers (2 above) for this programme. Most child psychologists believed, children beyond puberty age are at their peak where mastering languages skills is concerned.

This is definitely not an advertisement.

*************
Episode 2

Now...I'm at home....hoping to make use of these two hours to settle my assignments as much as possible.

I've already gathered quite a substantial amount of notes (both from books and net).

My job now is to reorganise them and put them in place. Once completed, I'll need to rephrase those facts in my own words based on my point of view. My writing has to be compact. This will take up another 4-5 days.....!

This time - I'm able to complete my assignments ahead of the date-line. Hooray

I'm not so worried now as I already have the idea of what should be done. I have already laid the foundation ....my next mission is to build the ship ! hahahaha

*****************
Episode 3

Today is a Public holiday @ Our King's birthday. No wonder, most shopping outlets are having sales.....grand sales...super discounts...ect. My letterbox is being over-fed with the many leaflets, brochures.... advertising lots of discounts and lots and lots....offers...free gifts..etc.

Ya..all their business gimmicks as usual.

Guess...I won't be going out shopping as I dislike crowded places. "Agoraphobia"...I develop a certain kind of uneasiness being in the crowd.

*******************

Well..actually, I don't have much to write today...saja....'chit-chat'.

Holiday Activity for kids

Holiday activity.
Ya...my hyperactive boy has nothing much to do.
Naturally he was pretty bored staying home thoughout the two weeks break.

And I'm unable to take him 'jalan-jalan' as I'm pretty tied up with my other commitments.
Felt guilty..but no choice la. Will try to compensate the lost 'hours' with him some day..!
It's a promise, son !.

He must had grown tired with his story books and computer games.

Therefore, I planned out an interesting game for him.
Quite a fine idea....Ann's creation..hahaha

His cousins came over which created a whole load of noise which drove me up the walls.
This has added much tension to my already tensed mind.

I decided to organise a hands-on activity for them.

It's a simple game....need no money nor much preparations.

Afterall, the main objective is to preoccupy the children's time. Allow them to focus their attention on a meaningful educational activity.

I took a huge carton box (big electrical appliances one will be a good one). I used an old TV box. Flatten it. Lay it on the floor. Get someone to be a model (a small size child would be the best).

The model lie motionless......onto the box. Another person will use a marker to draw the outline of the model's body.

Once completed, other features of the body could be drawn @ eyes, mouth...etc.

Then get some water colour or crayons to decorate the picture.

When completed, cut the picture.

Taada....you've got a life-sized paper model.

The kids spent for at least an hour or so indulging in this activity.

Meanwhile.....Yours truly can enjoy a peace of mind during that period. ..hahahaha

Happy Child makes a happy mum !

This Week's Happenings

Ann missing in action..!

Well...I had been pretty busy with my assignments these few days. I practically sat in front of my PC the entire day forgoing my meals and yet I am still unable to come up with something solid. Being a perfectionist...somehow or rather makes matters complicated.

I've tried to surf for information with the hope that I could obtain the necessary points to support my ideas. Facts and figures play an important role in university's paperwork.

I simply can't say out something without first referring to factual stuffs. Guess..that's how we students gain the lil extra marks from the lecturers.

Racing against the date line @ 29 June.
Will I end up as the hare or tortoise..? hahaha

As you know, by the time, I go back to school next week...I no longer have the "luxury" to fully concentrate on my assignments. I would definitely be drown with other paper work.

I know....I could have work smart by exchanging my assignments with my friends but I don't intend do that.

Why..you may ask?

Good question.

Well...I prefer to do it myself. I believe by doing it, experience it and going thru it, I actually pick up ample knowledge and skills in between it. In a way, I am also doing revision as I do my research.

What booooo......Hey..I'm ain't blowing own trumpet...la.

Come on..la Give some credits to me *** ..cannot arh ?

OK...next. How I spent the rest of my holidays..?

Apart from burying my head between my books and computer...I too played my responsibility as a mum. Another credit for me *** !
In fact, the most important assignment is being a superb mum.

As I don't have much time to spare, I decided to take my boy to Penang on Tuesday 3 June . Yeah..I know what you're thinking of...what so big deal about Penang to a Penangite like me..!

Well, I master-minded this trip so that it would turn into a memorable one for my boy.

How...let me explain in detail.

Both of us opted for the public transportation instead of the usual comfort mode.

This time around, we used the ferry.

Now answer me, how many of us (Penangites) still use the ferry service ?

Nowadays, it's so convenient to get across the island with the 13 km.....! Rite ?

Believe or not.....My last trip on a ferry was way back .....perhaps 2 years ago..!

My boy too hardly had the chance to ride the ferry. That was proven with his eagerness and excitement in his eyes while standing by the main entrance of the boat.

I can tell you that his experience on the ferry could be less than 5 times in his entire 7 years of life. In contrast to his over 100th times crossing the bridge. Although I'm lousy at figures..but this time my mathematics skills can still work la.

This ferry ride does brought some nostalgic feeling in me.

Come every Friday, without fail, I would religiously squeeze my way into the crowd lugging my bag and typewriter....in order to catch the earliest ferry. I religiously did this to 'balik kampung" for almost 3 years in the early 90s. We lived in Bukit Mertajam then.

Ya...typewriter...my ol faithful "Olympia". Those days..mana ada PC. All my assignments were type written. Kalau silap sikit guna liquid paper. Tapi banyak, kena type semula.

Those good ol days...the ride was a mere 60 cents..but today it doubled up to 1.20.

Wow...the cost of living...is tremendously high these days.

Thanks to our beloved PM...lah..lah..lah..lah.Just wonder what kind of "good deed" has he offered to us Malaysians apart from naik..naik..naik....apa yang turun ? You name it....semua pun naik.

For instance, the recent increase of petrol price. I had to queue almost 40 mins to get my car filled up. Me and my kiasu character.....thought can save up a lil. But time wasted lagi banyak. This round, I failed this simple maths equations.

Guess...after this, other basic commodities with follow suit....which means we got to fork out extra $$$$ to survive.

I gotten a trishaw Ah Pek to take us to Komtar @ Prangin Mall.

Such a short distance...RM10. But tak apa la...it's for the fun of it.

The ride was a lil bumpy. We swayed left and right as the trishaw moves.

Inhaled lots of carbon monoxide on the busy roads. Suddenly, I began to condemn the cars emiting foul smelling fumes. Hahaha..I'm also one of the culprits whom contributed to green house effect. Still dare to blame others....hahaha

Recalling a chinese proverb...one finger pointing out but four reverting back as me .....

KOMTAR brought lots of memories to me.

Guess my last trip to this place was many many years ago.

Ever since, we have bigger shopping venues on the island @ Queensbay, Gurney...etc....

Many people would prefer to throng these comfortable alternatives rather than this 65 storey tower.
It remains as just the highest building with zero attractions.

I remembered vividly during my maktab days..way back in the 90s, Komtar was our main dating zone.

We used to hang out :- places like Super Komtar, Yaohan...etc..almost every weekends.
Indulging in our usual "Cuci mata" activities.

Hey..not xx......one la.
Apa la..your mind so sophisticated one ah?
We are still naive innocent lot.
Miss Goody Two shoes....

That time..bohsia and bohjan still belum exist lagi. Hardly heard of rape cases... or murders..etc. The condition was still considered safe (can say like that la).

I used to stay at the Kedah Road flats with my fellow course mates. It's a stone throw away from Komtar....merely walking distance.

Those were the care free days....baru 21 ...surely enjoy life to the maximum...hahaha

My boy was so keen to set foot in the highest building on the island.

Do you know something...let check your Tawarikh or Sejarah texts books. B4 the birth of Petronas Twin towers, Komtar was once upon a time the highest in Msia. Well...itu adalah pada suatu masa dulu.....sekarang sudah lain!

My boy was a lil disappointed as soon as we walked into the lobby of KOMTAR. Everything were so old and filthy. He was so used to the sight of Queensbay mall....now he experienced a cultural shocked in Komtar.

He uttered the phrase..."why so ...lau beah (lousy)....one...nothing much to see....so sean (boring) !"

Spent less than an hour in that building...as we had meal at KFC. Hey..have you tried the chicken chop..? I don't think it's right to give my comments on air..here.

Nanti kena saman ! hahaha

Then proceeded to Pg Road for chendol. The daun pegaga juice really quench thirst on a humid day.

Took a bus back to jetty. Rapid Penang. Thanks to our PM's SIL....Penangites gets to enjoy "scarry bus rides" along those busy narrow streets @ lanes .

That irresponsible driver maneuver the steering as if he is in F1. My heart was throbbing as if that would be our last bus ride...!
Alright...di mana saya boleh buat aduan ? Mr. Lim G.E..?

Finally...we managed to reach the jetty...in one piece. Thanks Lord Buddha !

Bought a packet of buah pala @ pickled nutmeg to lessen my nausea urge. Aiyo...not morning sickness la.

Also gotten a box of tau sar pneah which is famous in Penang. Long time tak makan liau.
This local delicacy is made of green bean filling and lard, which is what gives the biscuits a very unique fragrant and flavour.

Overall...it was indeed an enjoyable trip..esp for my boy. He had his many first 1st.....that day

1st rickety trishaw ride

1st bus ride which could cause seasickness

1st trip to the tallest skyscrapper on the island

1st taste of chicken chop colonel's style

1st taste of Pg Rd. chendol

1st dating trip with mummy (just the 2 of us) ..hahaha

Yeah..give another credit to me...***. can arh..?

I hope the previous post might reflect a certain degree of awareness to those who read it.

I hope Mr. Beast would turn over a new leaf and cherish Ms. W for her sacrifices.

I hope all husbands and wives would go all out to make their marriage a blissful affair.

I also hope those lonely old folks at home are not being neglected by the offsprings.

Therefore.....allocate some time for your loved ones before it's too late.

Spend your time wisely.

What-a-contrast

Just got back from my tutorial class (1st for this sem) which resumed today.

It was indeed a long tiring day as I had to remain alert and give full concentration for 7 solid hours which kicked off at 8am and ended at 3.30 pm.

Everything was cramped into these compact 7 hours therefore all of us had to forgo our lunch break. Moreover, the cafeteria here doesn't operate on Sundays. As a result, yours truly survived with a miserable 'roti planta"@ Gardenia.

Phew.........a small sacrifice that yours truly has to make....for a better future. "Wawasan 2010"

I want to share this with you.

While driving back from college, I noticed an unusual road block along this narrow kampung road. I normally used this road due to it's shorter distance and less traffic.

"No big deal....la. Polis mau minum kopi aje", I uttered to myself.

BUT ...wait a minute...!

I had forgotten to fasten the seat belt !

Alamak...aduhai... ....Si Liow...Bo Mia Liow...!!!

Then true enough, Tuan Sarjan waved and instructed me to halt my vehicle to the side.

My heart, brain and mind hurriedly team-up to create a "perfect script".
For once, they were so corperative...!

"Pakatan Tiga Organ"

Thanks to the 'team building exercises' that I frequently trained them.

I quiclky got down and apologise profusely.

I shoved my matric card to him.
I told him I just came back from class at the nearby maktab.
.....ol grandma tales....blah...blah...blah

Alas....they let me thru with a stern warning.
It must have been my lucky day...hahaha

**** THE END OF PART 1 ****

Back home...as I was browsing http://www.thestar.com.my/, this piece of news caught my attention.

Cop slits lover’s throat, rams her with car

A jilted lover attempted to murder his girlfriend with a parang and tried to run her down with his car.
The man who is a cop who had been suspended due to disciplinary problems, attacked the woman
while she was sleeping.
It was believed that the woman had earlier told her boyfriend that she wants to end their relationship.
The victim, who was has a deep cut on her throat....managed to survive.
The suspect was also believed to be a drug addict as drug apparatus were recovered at his home.

Well...what a piece of news. A police officer whom is also a drug addict !
I always thought that......
in order to get into the police force, one has to go thru strict screening as well as undergo tough training ?

Police are supposed to be role models but looks like some thing sounds not right.

This cop doesn't seems to play his part on instigating good examples to the younger generations.

"Polis Raja Di Malaysia"

How could this happen ?

What say you ?

#Bear in mind, this is not an "Anti Polis" campaign or what-so-ever.

Cerita ini tidak ada kaitan dengan mana-mana pihak samada hidup mahupun mati.
Sekian terima kasih"
